2026-04-20OLD DR CARLIN'S RECIPES BOOK AVAILABLE

I finally got the Old Dr. Carlin’s Recipe Print Set completed and have gotten some printed and bound. Actually I got then printed and bound a week or so ago but it took a while to find a good container in which to mail them. Finally found some boxes that are a close enough fit to work.

The first bound copy went on my own shelf.

I’ve looked at a LOT of various Formula and Recipe books and all of them were lacking in one way or another to my mind. They were either MASSIVELY thick to the point of being impractical to print or were weighted far to much on one direction or another or just simply didn’t cover the range of information that seemed to me worth printing. I finally came across this one that someone recommended it and was able to find a decent enough scan of it that it could be printed without having to retype the entire book from cover to cover.

It did have a chapter on Health and Medicines which I removed from the printed copy.

Keep in mind this was originally printed in 1881 when you could by morphine and opium over the counter at the local pharmacy and mercury was ingested to treat a number of ailments. Arsenic was a common ingredient of some of them. Nothing in that section is of any interest to anyone even generally sane. For those morbid enough to read it anyway that part of the book is still in then PDF copy in the Library.

2026-04-11RAYS ARITHMETIC ADDED

I just added the Ray’s Arithmetic 10 book series to the Teaching_Arithmetic Category.

These books are pretty well known in the Homeschooling Community since they are thorough and comprehensive. They are definitely NOT what is being taught in the Public Schools and few Private Schools. They are not for the weak minded and Math-Phobic.

They’ve also been added to the Zip file in that Category. I studied Rocket Science in College and some of these remind me of that period of my life.

2026-04-01GLOCK SILLINESS

Got a quite rude email from Glock’s Legal Team DEMANDING that I take down the files containing ANY reference to their Trademarked name.

So I did. I also pointed out to them that these files were close to twenty years old and could be found on virtually ANY Survivalist, Prepper or Emergency preparedness site anywhere in the world as well as in hundreds of electronic books on the same subjects.

I pointed out that they could also be found on archive.org by searching the Text section using the search terms “Glock” or “Full Auto Conversion” and that since the archive.org wayback machine mirrors the contents of websites all over the world that the same files could likely be found on hundreds of not thousands of the websites mirrored there.

But it’s clearly a serious issue for Glock that WE have the files available so anyone who needs them will have to look on Archive.org for them lest we be raise the ire of Glock’s Legal team.

p.s. Totally unrelated but I had a Glock 17 once when I was in Law Enforcement. Really did not like it at all. Of all the guns I had that one was had THE worst trigger I’ve ever encountered on a semi-automatic pistol. Sold it less than a year later.
