As I’ve mentioned my wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 Esophagus Cancer and we’re in the long, slow process of Chemo and Immunotherapy. I’m also devoting most of my time to her needs so my priorities are different for now.
I’m going to be taking a Hiatus or perhaps Sabbatical from the Website for the immediate future.
I will still maintain the server and keep the software updated. Library copies and Book of the Farm sets will still be available for purchase. I may occasionally add books now and then as I run across them or someone sends me one but I won’t be actively working on book searches and such for the time being.
So far she is responding well and we’re cautiously optimistic. I’m still available to chat and answer questions at my normal email address (librarian@survivorlibrary.com) but won’t be posting much if anything through the rest of the Summer and Fall. Hopefully towards the end of the year we’ll have a bit more clarity on the situation.
So… not gone but out of the building for a while.

P.S. If someone with a strong interest in the subject of the website would be interested in helping out with posts and adding content feel free to contact me to discuss it. Back when I ran my large BBS I was the Sysop (System Operator) and there about half a dozen Co-Sysops who actively participated in running thge Board for the 19 years it was in operation.
The reality of the consequences of a Major Solar EMP event don’t go away just becasue we here have a personal medical issue with which to deal.
