NEW SERVER IN PLACE

I have swapped out the New Server and retired the old one. Everything appears to work except for some odd reason the Logo has disappeared from one restart to the next. I’ll tinker with it but I’m not going to lose any sleep over it for the time being.

I THINK the store is working again. If anyone has any problems with it please email me at librarian@survivorlibrary.com and let me know.

Rest of the morning is going to be getting the backup and updates set up on this and the backup server. It’s an identical machine on which I simply cloned the drives of this one. I’ll get the automatic backups set up and make sure they are working. That way if/when there is a drive or machine problem I can simply update the URL on the backup server, update the SSL Certificate and swap it in place.

Should be much better redundancy than the old server. I never did figure out why so many pieces of software would not work on the one I had set up and at this point I’m not going to worry about it.

I’d much rather just drive the car than spend all my time time trying to fix it. Maybe I can finally get some of the new material I’ve accumulated added to the site Categories and some new Categories added.
