Ran across this story today and thought it was worth posting. Seems Zuckerbeg is expanding his Hawaii home into a self sustaining, underground, well stocked bunker with steel and concrete security features and trying to keep it secret.

This isn’t the first of the billionaires doing this though many of them seem to prefer New Zealand. I guess it’s remoteness is a key feature.

Problem for all of them is that you can assume that pretty much EVERYONE in the area knows about his (and other’s) bunker since after all it’s locals building it. And if everything falls apart then the entire local community is going to be at the door and one thing Military Science and History tells us is that fixed fortification always fall.
